Gravity Storm - First Mission v1.0.0 IS OUT!


This is the last major update for Gravity Storm, rebranded Gravity Storm - First Mission. At first, I considered the game a prototype, then a demo for a bigger game; however, I decided this game was complex enough to be its one thing, hence the new name. I'll still be working in a new Gravity Storm game, a bigger one that'll take a long time to develop. 

First Mission is a game I've been working on almost non-stop for over 2 months, hope you enjoy, here is the list of the changes that this updated comes with:

GRAPHICS:

  • New tilesets, added.
  • Tweaks to the main character's sprite.
  • More color text, added.
  • Score screen, improved.
  • A gravity indicator has been added to the upper left corner for the players to know when they can and cannot change gravity. Red means gravity is inverted, blue means gravity is normal, gray means it can no longer change until you touch the ground (Gravity works as always, now you simply have an indicator). 
  • The health bar is lighter to improve visibility.

GAMEPLAY AND LEVEL DESIGN:

  • Auto fire, added.
  • Double tap to dash, added.
  • The dash lasts a bit longer now.
  • Level 2 is now  longer to make about the same length as the other levels.
  • Some tweaks to the other levels.
  • The boss doesn't attack you immediately anymore, now you have to press a button to start the fight.
  • Boss fight is a little bit harder now.
  • Now the time limit is called time bonus, and it doesn't go lower than zero.
  • By popular demand, now you recover your health after each level.

MENUS:

  • New credits screen, added.
  • Link to my other games in the options, added.

BUGS:

  • -Getting stuck in walls, fixed, maybe...
  • -Bugs in the options and main menus, fixed.
